UNDER THE LAW.
Mr. Goodrow’s recent accomplishments include preventing several different San Francisco and San Jose landlords from evicting their medical marijuana dispensary tenants. In Santa Rosa, Mr. Goodrow persuaded the Court to return possession and ownership of medical marijuana that had been seized by a rouge operator, who changed the locks and drilled out the safes. Mr. Goodrow has successfully litigated lawsuits against cities, counties and other municipalities on behalf of storefront medical marijuana dispensaries throughout California. In 2014, Mr. Goodrow worked on the trial team that acquitted a San Jose medical marijuana dispensary driver, who was transporting five pounds of flowers and five pounds of concentrates.
An Eagle Scout, Mr. Goodrow was raised in Goleta, California, where he played varsity football and baseball. While studying History at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Mr. Goodrow began working as a federal firefighter, where the seasonal schedule allowed him to travel for long periods on surf excursions to the Southern Hemisphere.
After seven years working as a federal fire fighter hotshot, Mr. Goodrow moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work as a substitute teacher for The San Francisco Unified School District and earn his Master’s degree in History at San Francisco State University. Mr. Goodrow finished his academic studies at San Francisco’s Golden Gate University, where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence while interning at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office.
